SKIN CARE TIPS

Understanding different skin types
Everyone’s skin is different, that’s what makes us unique. However, with each skin type comes different skin care needs. Not every skin care product is designed to treat all skin types equally. In fact, if you use the wrong products or ingredients, it can cause redness or irritation. The best thing you can do for your skin is to identify your skin type and find products that use ingredients that enhance your natural beauty.

There are a lot of skin care products on the market and it can be difficult to know which ingredients are best for your skin type. We’re here to help you navigate the different ingredients and find products that can improve your complexion and give you the fresh, beautiful skin you deserve. By finding skin care products with ingredients that work for your skin, you can avoid irritation and keep your skin happy and healthy.

How to know your skin type
There are two common ways to determine skin type: observation sheets and blotting sheets. Both methods are effective and are an essential first step in creating a skin care routine that works for you.

Observation method
After cleansing your face with a regular cleanser, leave your skin alone for 30 minutes. After that, you can see the shine and dryness of the face on the cheeks and T-zone area. If you notice excessive shine, you probably have oily skin. If your skin feels tight or flaky in certain areas, you probably have dry skin. If the shine and oily texture only exists in your T-zone, you probably have combination skin. If you feel that your skin is hydrated and not oily, you probably have normal skin.

Suction leaves
If you’re looking for something faster, blotting sheets can be a great tool to help identify oily skin textures. Simply tap the absorbent pad on different parts of your face and then hold it up to the light to see how much oil is visible on the pad. If you don’t see any oil, you probably have dry skin. If there is excessive oil on the absorbent pad, you probably have oily skin. If the absorbent sheet only picked up oil from the T-zone area, you probably have combination skin. Keep in mind: these blotting sheets are not great for identifying between dry and normal skin types.
